Barclays Launches New Lender

Barclays has launched a new lender Fair & Square – a direct-to-consumer lender, specialising in second-charge mortgages.

In a positive move to the industry this gives customers more options when looking to borrow money with a Secured Loan.

Fair & Square will differ from Barclays other lending arms, First Plus and Secured Barclayloan in that it will be marketed to customers who fall between the demographic of the two existing brands.

Fair & Square offers loans of between £10,000 and £150,000 - over a term of between five and 25 years. The typical rate is 6.9% APR.
