Student loans are delayed

Students in England are due to start university this month, however it is expected that 50,000 of them will start university without the full grants and loans that they are expecting.

The full grants and loans may not be received until the end of October as the Student Loans Company was so inundated with applications that it couldnt cope. However, everyone who applied on time should receive a basic level loan soon to tide them over.

There have also been hundreds of complaints which include complaints of the delays in the handling of applications and complaints for missing documents.
