You can still remortgage with a Secured Homeowner Loan

A common question when consumers enquire about a homeowner secured loan is does this prevent them from remortgaging in the future.
The answer is no. Re-mortaging will not be a problem as long as you have not borrowed above what your property is worth when you combine your existing mortgage balance and your secured homeowner loan.
There may be redemption charges to pay but you should discuss this with the lenders involved as these can vary slightly from lender to lender.
Sometimes the fear with a secured homeowner loan is that you cannot clear it early. This is simply not true. Most secured homeowner loans can be cleared just as easily as you could clear your mortgage if you won the lottery!
